Myjar refunds explained.
Over the years £millions of payday loans have been issued – many of them leading on to further borrowing and financial problems. If any of the following sounds familiar to you then you may be entitled to claim.
You may be entitled to MyJar compensation if you can relate to any of the below.
1. Fees or charges not clear?
When you took out your payday loans were the charges and associated fees made absolutely clear to you?
2. Unable to pay bills?
Your payments for the payday loan were so large that you struggled to pay for your monthly essentials e.g bills, mortgage.
3. Rolling over loans?
You had to take out a further payday loan to pay the initial one back, supporting unaffordability.
4. Lenders taking automatic payments?
Automatic payments being taken from your account put you in difficulty to pay other essentials.
5. Encouraged to borrow further?
Lender’s ‘good customer’ offers promoted regular use and the ability to get better deals the more you borrow.
6. Unfair lending
Despite clearly not being able to pay the first loan back, your lender continued to offer more through consolidation.
Who can i claim against?
How does it work?
Firstly, submit our simple online claims form. We’ll email you to confirm receipt of your claim. We will then negotiate a settlement with your lender or lenders and aim to recover Interest and fees on these loans.
How long does it take?
From the day you complete our simple online form, we should receive a response to your complaint between 8 – 12 weeks later. If the lender rejects the claim, it may be that we recommend referring your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman, in which case it may take a few months longer to resolve.
How much do you charge?
We work on a no win no fee basis. We charge 36% (30% + VAT) on any successful claims of the total refund received from your lender. If you cancel our service without our agreement after 14 days and after we submit your claim you will be liable to pay our full success fee should your claim be successful.
What information do i require?
All we need is the name of your lender and your personal details including the address that you lived at when registering with them. Once we have these we can obtain details of any loans where a refund may be due.
How do i submit my claim?
Simply complete our online application form to start your payday loan claim..
Do i need to use a company to submit my claim?
You do not need to use our services to make a claim against your lender(s). It’s free to claim compensation from financial companies if you have lost money from a mis-sold financial product. You can do this yourself directly with the lender(s) and even if they reject your claim you can still take this to the Financial Ombudsman Service http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk. If you aren’t sure how to make the claim, you can get free, impartial advice from consumer organisations.
