U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagle aircraft has crashed into the North Sea, off the North East coast of England.
The aircraft was based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk and part of the 48th Fighter Wing United States Air Force.
At the time of the crash, the aircraft was involved in a routine training mission with one pilot onboard.
UK Search and rescue are now assisting in the search.
A spokeswoman from RAF Lakenheath confirms, that the status of the pilot is still unknown.
