MK Military Finance specialises in car finance for military personnel. It was set up specifically to help members of the Armed Forces get access to mainstream finance facilities to purchase cars. Some motor finance lenders have a blanket ban on forces customers, or very restrictive terms such as requiring them to be a homeowner to be considered for approval, basically because they don’t understand the risks involved, and therefore assume the risk of military personnel to be too high.

Also, credit scores – the automated systems used by many banks and lenders to make lending decisions, really can’t cope with many forces circumstances. Some examples would be being abroad for long periods, appearing to have two residential addresses (barracks and home), joining up from abroad and not having a civilian credit trace prior to serving, or living only on barracks to name a few. All these circumstances can really mess with the algorithms that assess credit risk, systems that were designed for civilian applications.
We look at every application manually, one of our friendly team is assigned to each customer as a personal point of reference to guide you through the whole process, and we approach our wide panel of lenders to get the best deal available to you at the time.

You can purchase a vehicle through us, or use our money to go to most dealers in the UK and buy the car you really want, or one that is closer to home.

We deal with many household names such as Santander, and BMW Finance, but we also have a number of specialist lenders who really support the Armed Forces, and can often provide much better rates and terms than you might be able to get out in the wider civilian marketplace.

We can also help if your credit history isn’t the best, although you may pay more in interest if you do have previous adverse credit information.

All applications are free, and you are not obliged to proceed with any quote we provide.

Rates from 9.9% APR – Representative APR 16.9% (April 2019)
